Anguilla Flag - Caribbean Drop

Motto

“Unity, Strength and Endurance”

 Overview

Anguilla is a British Overseas Territory and is located in the Lesser Antilles in the Eastern Caribbean. It is one of the most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, lying east of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and directly north of Saint Martin. The island was originally inhabited by the indigenous Arawak people before being colonized by the British in the 17th century. Unlike many of its Caribbean neighbors, Anguilla’s landscape was not ideal for large-scale plantation agriculture, so it remained relatively undeveloped and less populated.

Today, Anguilla is celebrated for its laid-back atmosphere, stunning beaches, and friendly locals. With its tropical climate, characterised by year-round sunshine and gentle trade winds, Anguilla offers an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The island is home to 33 stunning beaches, each with unique charm and beauty. From the powdery white sands of Shoal Bay to the secluded coves of Little Bay. There are many options for beach lovers to explore and find their slice of paradise in Anguilla.

The island is surrounded by vibrant coral reefs teeming with colourful marine life, making it a paradise for snorkelers and scuba divers alike. For a truly unforgettable experience, explore the iconic underwater sculpture park at Sandy Island or take a boat trip to neighbouring Prickly Pear Cays Marine Park.
